This is a charming place. The bread (white loaf two days running) was delicious, very reasonably priced and run by two seemingly engaged people who were both busy baking and attentive to their customers. The egg custard was also a revelation. If I lived locally I'd use the place regularly. Easy parking outside also.

The only complaint is that the coffee cups are small. But I've kept the review at 5 stars as the food makes up for it!
I should also mention that the owners are geeks! See if you can spot the Tardis, the Harry Potter newspaper and many more surprises!Stopped here on the way back from a holiday and it was a good choice. Quick service, friendly and the food was amazing. The tart we got was sweet and the pastry was crispy and buttery. Good moist chicken rolls on soft fluffy bread, lovely.

I come here roughly once a week, it's incredible every single time. Friendly staff, clean shop, tons of choice... I always get the hunters toastie - and you should too!

Stopped here on a long distance cycling event. It had just started raining and there wasn't any space inside, but they were happy for me to pull up a chair and eat in shelter. They were really friendly and the bacon roll and cake were absolutely delicious. I was really disappointed that they weren't open on Sunday for my return trip, but would make a point of visiting when I next pass by.

Wanted to use the Post Office en-route to Bridlington from York. We had left our motorhome site earlier than planned and were very peckish…earlier than usual. Saw the sign for bakery and picked up some cracking sourdough bread and a few pasties. Staff were friendly and the pasties were delicious!

Absolutely lovely food. Best bacon sandwich I have ever had (and that’s saying something). Cakes exceptional and staff/service to match! Whether passing through or local do not miss out on visiting this bakery in Stamford Bridge!!!!
Brilliant little place. Tasty sandwiches, pastries and freshly baked breads. Staff very friendly and welcoming too. They also serve cans of Rio. Amazing!
Quite possibly the best cafe/bakery in the North of England! We’ve always loved stopping here on the way to the seaside. Great food - we would definitely recommend a stop off here 👍

Absolutely spot on. My favorite for sandwiches, salads and cakes. I can't fault a single thing, staff are all lovely and polite. They don't seem to know the meaning of stingy because everything is a good portion. Well priced for what you get and never had a bad thing.
Lovely spot for a bacon roll and leisurely coffee and watching the world go by on an early morning.

I have found my spiritual home: great bread, fat sandwiches made to order (so full contents tried to escape while biting), real coffee in mugs, fruit-based pies. The portrait of Stanley Tucci and discussing the merits of Dave Grohl only enhanced this. All while the baker was flying Hans Solo. Go, order, enjoy
